It is beyond doubt that the education is the biggest weapon to transform human civilization. It is the education that has transformed man, the animal from jungles and cave, into modern man, who is ruling the universe. Man is not like any other animal, man has been blessed with divine power that is intelligence, that can do wonders. The intelligence within the man need nurture and care to transform it into knowledge. The only thing that can transform intelligence to knowledge is proper education. Every child is a seed of immense possibilities, he or she can be anything in the future - a teacher, doctor, engineer, leader, scientist etc. provided that the child is nurtured with proper education.
The college education is the stage which helps to develop a student’s personality properly. A school boy becomes a proper man through college education. So it can be safely said that college education is the system which produces good future citizens of this country.
The Ghoksadanga Birendra Mahavidyalaya was established with the aim at providing proper college education to the rural as well as urban students of Mathabhanga subdivision specially students under Ghoksadanga police station and surroundings. Ghoksadanga Birendra Mahavidyalaya started its in 2011-2012 with a few students in a small building but within a few years this institution has emerged as an eminent college of Cooch Behar district, thanks to the tireless efforts of the teachings and non teaching staffs, students, and well wishers. Our aim is to make this college a shining model of higher education. I am confident that students of our college will get motivation in their studies and will be successful in every sphere of life and society.
